BEHIND THE LENS

Tourismologist and Photographer,  the ítalo-brazilian, works as a professional photographer for over 14 years.

After her first exhibition, “Searching for a comun place” in 1998,  when she explored several ecotourism locations over 18 brazilian states, the photographer of diversity dedicated to documentation, advertising and editorial photography, with publications in newspapers and magazines of Brazil and England.



The first brazilian to be a member of BIPP, British Institute of Professional Photographers, had samples of her work awarded by the prestigious Institute in the categories Fashion and Portrait toured through Europe in  the exhibition “International Image makers” of 2002.



She was an independent photographer for “Editora Tres”  and “Editora Abril”  between 2002 and 2009. In the same period, Karina collaborated with many publications and magazines such as “Terra”, “Caras”, “Trip” and “Die Zeit” (German newspaper), among others.



Currently in Sao Paulo, she has been dedicated to a series of fine art  and personal works, as well as comercial photography and the administration of her own photographic Studio.



The sensitivity of her  feminine look are now focused on  the artistic universe of conceptual photography,  where she blends techniques to create a new atmosphere aiming to discuss her own experiences.
